Sorry, I know this is off topic but i'm getting fed up now.

When I go shopping I buy 3x 6pt semi skimmed milk, for the 3rd week in a row the last one I used has gone off before its been opened. Now its kept in a nice cold Bosch fridge and is still 5 days in date but once again its gone.

Has anyone else had a problem with milk not lasting?

Try supporting your local milkman?

We used to use milk from the local Co-Op corner shop and that frequently went off before it's date. Now we use a milkman we never run out of milk, we dont have to go out to get it and its always fresh.

I did that once, to be honest the expense was stupid, its something like 75p/pint delivered at the moment isnt it? Tesco have been replacing these FOC so it hasnt added to the cost.

Tony, A lot of the shops start to fill up with Xmas cream, goodies etc in the last few weeks, and as chiller space is limited , then some thing has to stay out eek to make room.

You guessed it - the milk !!
Out of interest which store are you using?

Mike- mines always in the fridge - Honest

Tony,
yes Golden Hill.... Mmmmmmnnnnnnnnnn

don't know who runs that these days, but will put a WORD in for you, or two.

Just use 3/4's of it and keep taking back for a new one.

ps. don't forget to water the last few drops down as well when you return it !!
and ask for compensation - should be good for a £5 voucher each time !

I went to the big Tesco at Lee Mill, Devon on the A38 this week. What a nightmare place....

I dislike Tesco anyway as they are trying to take over the world by selling everything under the sun, but i thought i'd give it the benefit of the doubt.

I came out paying as much as anywhere else for my shopping, the only cheap stuff was crap like ham that was 60% water.

The worst bit - big argument with the misses, i was so stressed by the experience (ok it was a Saturday) that i caused a bit argument ! The people were awful, just kept walking into you or attacking your heels with their trolley & nobody even said sorry or hello.

Boycot the place, thats what i say.

Boycott em- yep.
I get Racheals organic milk from sainsburys:
A) It tastes like milk used to..
B) It stays in date for about 4 days after BBE date usually
C) It's organic so I'm not drinking cow antibiotics & other sheite
D) Sainsburys don't seem to screw over the farmer like the other shops... but that's not related to milk!

I can't stand going into tesco or asda - I get bad shopper rage and they are always full of chavs, what's that all about? Shopping can't be chavashionable can it?
