Hmm, thats a new one on me.

Also, for everyones info - avoid the shirehampton part of the portway (i.e. by the fixed camera) as they have single lane roadworks and traffic lights there at the mo, and as you'd expect, its carnage.

Alternatively, go through Shirehampton itself or go along one junction and take the mini-nurb

Edited to add - I didn't see it this morning as I went through Shirehampton hehe

They've gone nuts on there now:

Not only do they have the ones in Shirehampton filtering down to single lane, they've gone and stuck some at the bigger junction up the hill and over by Sea Mills again filtering via temporaray lights.

Never mind the ones actually in Shirehampton - blocking the shortcut...

I now go out and across the M49 and up through Kings Weston Lane as its quicker (and more fun actually...)

It's carnage! Avoid at all costs!

You're not wrong! Took 15 extra minutes to get out of Westbury-on-Trym onto the Portway this evening as they've buggered around with the traffic light timing mad

Think I'll go in/out via the Cribbs junction rather than Avonmouth tomorrow.

happy snapper

The main road in Shirehampton has road works also with the lights "phazed" to let traffic out of the village but not in.... go via Blaze or cribbs
