FFSfurious Some muppet is digging up the roundabout at the bottom of Ashley Hill. . All well and good so far, but they've decided to put three way lights there... Which causes predictable chaos through St Paul's/Werbergh's. OK, it's not an ideal situation but understandable.

What is considerably less understandable was the decision to leave the lights there overnight, apparently because there was a 2ft wide coned off area on one side of this spacious mini roundaboutbanghead

I went home at 6.30 last night and it was still carnage (it took me 20 minutes to get through ST Pauls), and going in to work this morning took twice as long as normal.

Surprisingly the council website works, and I can expect this to go on for another monthcry

Thankfully we've just completed on our house, ending our cash flow crisis and meaning I can afford a bike... (and putting me in a much better frame of mindthumbup)

scratchchin Mmmmmm, so it's the council's fault you've got to go and buy a 200mph feckoffmeganutternitrobusablade superbike then.

Should be. beer?

You're too right though - the cil do seem to be excelling themselves with roadworks and temp lights at the moment. A nice tram system like this: www.646industries.com/beyond_b/archives/2003/08/the_caen_twisto.html would help. Guess where we went on holiday?

All the more reason to sit tight in the new Chateau H, I'd have thought!smokinhippydrink but avoiding the sperm

I've just had a look for quotes, unfortunately the feckoffmeganutternitrobusablade option is a tad pricey at £1500 or so, however I've always wanted a Triumph Speed Triple (the feckoffhooliganloonmachine option if you will) and that's a far more reasonable £536scratchchin

Hmmm, on a £'s per grin basis the hooliganloon option seems a goer.

You don't need to be able to be a fortune teller to guess the forthcoming explosion. Just makesure the fallout is directed towards the perps concerned, Those anticar commie barstewards at the council.

On the subject of roadworks, what on earth are they doing to the end of the M32?

On the subject of bikes, i shall be making arrangements for doing my direct access test thingy in the next few weeks so hopefully will have a megafast-wobblydeath-machine before too long too.
