Morning all,

I'm off to France in the 7 for a long weekend, sailing at 4pm from Poole. To get there from Bath is easy, however I have to go via the Bath Ales brewery just by the Bristol ring road. From there I'm planning to head down the A37 and then wend my way to Poole. How bad will the southbound A37 traffic be at about 2pm on a Friday?

Cheers,
E.

I've been hopelessly screwed getting to Poole on the A37 on several occasions. I now always go out on the A36 and down the A350 - which is usually relatively traffic free and has the added benefit of being hoonworthy after Warminster (watch out for talivans on the Warminster bypass though...).

yes Agreed. The other thing to watch out for on the A350 are artic lorries taking some of the twisty bends a bit wide. Nearly got taken out by one on the way to catch the ferry for Le Mans.

yesThe A37 is bloody awful. From Shaftesbury you have the option of Zigzag Hill toocloud9
