As I have had a couple of emails on this matter, I thought it'd be useful to give you all some more information and to clarify the situation regarding tickets.
Firstly the event:
The South West Festival of Motoring (www.swfestivalofmotoring.co.uk) will be held at Taunton Racecourse on Sunday 16th July 2006, between 10am and 5pm. The event is shaping up to be a cracking day out with loads to see, and the latest weather reports are for a seriously hot and sunny day.
There was an 8 page spread in the Somerset County Gazette last week, and the organisers tell me that the show is going to be even bigger than the article reported.
Entry costs just £6 for Adults / £3 for under 16s & over 65's; parking is free.
You do not need to book tickets, just turn up at the Racecourse, park, then pony up the dough.
The event is supporting Cancer Research UK.
Secondly an opportunity to get in free (conditions apply!!!):
As RO of TVRCC Somerset I was invited by the organisers to take a pitch for the TVRCC. This I accepted readily.
Exhibitors at the event are entitled to a free entry pass.
I currently have room (and passes) for another 20 cars or so (the more the merrier actually).
If you have a TVR and would like to join the TVRCC on it's stand, thereby gaining free entry to the event, feel free to meet up with us at The Blackbrook Pavilion and Tennis Centre at 8.45am PROMPT on Sunday 16th July.
Please, please, please do not turn up in anything other than a TVR expecting a free pass - it simply won't happen.

Didn't go, but was speaking to a mate who reckoned it could have had more cars/less trade stands and that Thornfalcon was much better value (i.e. no admission charge and more cars that were less spread out)???
It certainly could have been better organised and attended, must bear in mind it was their first time though.
Thornfalcon started with just 30 cars or so, and has grown over the years.
