My diff is whirring as if its life depends on it (well... almost!) Can anyone recommend somewhere as near to Falmouth as possible that I can get it rebuilt?
Alternatively does anyone have any experience of rebuilding Atlas diff's? Is it difficult and could I do it myself?
Cheers
Hugh

There is a garage in St Austell that calls themselves cornwall transmissions or something similar, don't know if they're any good mind. Probably a good 30 + miles from Tremough though. The diff on a capri can't be hideously complicated, have a go yourself and if you bugger it up ring the AA and tell em it fell apart.

Cornwall & Devon Transmissions in Pentewan Road, I used them to rebuild my english diff... not impressed it was always really noisy and when we took it apart to put an LSD in we found it was set way too tight, when I say WE I mean I watched my mate do the technical stuff and I did the easy bits :0 . The mate in question is Matt Seabrook who runs A1 tyres in Bodmin, might be worth giving him a ring on 01208 75475
