Thought I'd post this as just received my first 'Lotus wave'! (see 'S1 / S2 snobbery' thread on SELOC)

Red Elan, Friday afternoon, 4:30pm flashed me in 06 plate Red Elise SportsRacer at Landcross near Bideford

Anyone on here?


PS, wouldn't normally make a fuss but this was my first Lotus spot since getting mine at the start of the month... and definitely no onwnership snobbery! :-)

You're dead right Tim - Winkleigh ain't big at all! I actually live in the very next village, but not seen the Silver S1 Exige yet

In fact, the Tony Shute night & BoLOCs trip to Croyde & Porlock aside, I've still only ever seen three Elise / Exige on the open road in three and a half months of keeping an eye out!


Oh and yeah, I've been using full 8k revs for almost a couple of weeks now - it only took a fortnight to get the running-in done! I'm no loon, but when the chance comes, I still can't believe how it all opens up and you just fly! It's not exactly slow before then, but post 6200 is just amazing

Had mine for 8 months now and only seen 1 Elise (in Exeter) since i got it, there must be more around here somewhere. Roll on the summer

Not many MAD - I know of a couple near Newton Abbot (tanman & _TC), a couple in North Cornwall-ish (TIPPER & turnamere), you, me and a fella called Nigel with a Light Blue 53 plate Elise and that's it!

Hi MAD, nice to find another Devon Elise owner. We'll soon be able to start our own owners club (SoWLOC?). Just so you guys don't feel too lonely, I've spotted the following in the last couple of months.
Red S2 - Plymouth.
Grey S1 - Liskeard.
Mustard S1 - Commuting along A38 in East Cornwall. (4 times in last couple of weeks).
Dark Blue S2 - Plymouth (a few times)
Light Blue S2 - Plymouth
Yellow S2 - Bodmin Area (few times).
Scary how much of my life I spend in a car.
