South West PHers Trip to Wales
Discussion
Right then...
As mentioned by Neil in a previous thread, some PH Southwest members feel the need to adjourn across the bridge and terrorise some sheep!
The need for this trip becomes more urgent, as I am shortly to be seperated from my erstwhile hooning machine and relegated to munching satan's fuel for a living.
Hence, therefore and otherwise, I feel the need to have one last trip in the WRX. I'm more than happy to sort out a route, navigation and foodstops etc, but need an indication of numbers, dates and the length of hoon required.
My initial thoughts are for a Sunday hoon, within the next few weeks, starting early(ish) morning, heading into Wales for lunch and returning back home in the afternoon.
Thoughts chaps?????

OK,
My initial thoughts were indeed to sample the area around the triangle - the run up and back is worth the trip on its own anyway.
I've no problems with waiting until April 16th, but if I sell the WRX before that then I'll have to be someone's co-driver for the day.
Are weekdays / Saturdays a viable alternative, or do work commitments prohibit that?
I need at least 10 days to get a route together anyway, so w/c March 20th is the earliest we could do.

This trip should go ahead before Del sells his car, regardless of wether one or two of us can't make it on the day.

I'm not going to be that upset, as long as there's a passenger ride in a 996 X50 coming my way
Seriously though, I'll start work on a route, and let this topic run so we get an idea of the number of people that are interested. I appreciate a full days hooning is somewhat different to our usual Sunday morning run, but it should be worth it.

Don't you love me any more just because I rattle now... (Neils Golf typing there)
Seriously though, I'm on holiday on the later dates I mentioned (shall be taking notes from the coach as to whether there are any good roads on the way to Austria )
But any time would be great, as I've always wanted to go up there. May even be able to convince the missus to come...

I'm interested - available most weekends... except possibly the one after the 31st March - going to a metal gig.
I was in the Cambrian mountains on Sunday, driving in the snow with my g/f. Hardly a soul around and great views. Very lucky I didn't chance taking the Tiv as wouldn't even have dared to get near!

Unfortunately I've now buggered me Tiv so won't be able to make it.
