Bristol area hoons?

Ah, I was otherwise engaged last weekend but would have been cool.
I'm not a member of the TVRCC anymore - let it lapse last year after about 13 years of off and on membership. If I'm still welcome... yeehaa! (sorry)
I actually live in Dorset but the missus lives in Brizzle so I'm up that way most weekends with the S.
I'll keep an eye on this forum should anyone have any plans brewing.

You missed the last PH SW Hoon which was a hoot.
I must point out, however, that these are very early meets, if you catch my drift, with average meeting times of around 07:30am in order to minimise any traffic jams.
There would be no pootling to say the least...
Any welsh run would be organised in the same vien, and driven with, perhaps, B Road hooning in mind.

I have to say I don't really fancy a non-stop blast kind of hoon. I like to slow down sometimes and admire the scenery and maybe take some pictures. I like to make progress, yes, but if all I'm going to see is the road and the car ahead from concentrating so much then I may as well drive on an airfield.
A hoon with fast and slow sections would be perfect for me. A chance to stretch the car's legs and then a chance to stretch one's wonder at the world.

In the case of the organised SW Blats, it's never been selective at all.
Indeed, I can't remember the last TVR who came (I think it was Psychoberts S3C last year)...
When we organise the SW Blats, we always ensure it's open to all. Blats are always generally followed closely by food

Hi Gi.... to be fair the hoons arn't much quicker that when we both shot down to Shepton Mallet that time, the convoy only gets split up when some over take & people behind have to hold back as its not safe to follow...suddenly the leaders are out of sight! At any junction or turn off we always wait to re-group, its just progressive eary morning motoring with a group of car enthuasiasts...its safer than driving to the shops as everyone is concentrating on what they are doing....well most the time anyway

That sounds alright. Count me in.
I am, of course, interested in more leisurely blasts (tours I guess you'd call them) in convoy with some other interesting cars to see some great scenery... if anyone fancies that? Maybe a 50 mile round trip with things to see on the way?

That sounds like Britballrun, but a 1,000 mile round trip at your own pace.

Being a Regional Organiser for the TVRCC Bristol, I'd say join us. Our routes are fabulous, are always tested before hand, and all particpants get pace notes. We do hooning, lunching, photo stops and more. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month, and all of our routes start on the Bristol Ring Road not far from the M32.
Come along - you are more than welcome. And I always have a membership form on me for those who have lapsed ...
