Thinking about getting my alloys spruced up. The car is generally tidy but let down by its wheels - paint/coating flaking off in places and some unsightly chips round the edges. The previous owner had a bit of a love affair with kerbs and cleaned them with a wire brush I think, good haggling point at time of purchase but irritating me more than I thought it would now.

They're just ordinary ford 16" alloys, nothing flash so I don't need anything fancy. Just want them tidied up.

Anyone have any recommendations or would it be cheaper to find a tidy set on ebay?

Cheers, Darren.

Ace, I'll be up in Bristol in a fortnight or so. I'll have a look down there, see if I can find it.

Cheers

Try giving Pro-Tyre in Lawernce Hill a call

My boss had the alloys on his Audi Quatro done as they were in a real mess (they were 15yrs old) an they did a fantasic job. Think they cost around £50 each, but well worth it

My only experance with them have been expensive, for tyres, wheels etc.. nice selection and very local to me so thats the only reason I even went there.

but worth getting a price on as well

really, the alloys look great and they have a good selection but have found then cheaper else ware. the same for the tyres, I bought a pair of 215-40-16 for my kit car for 62 each. pro tyres wanted about 10 each more.

i've found pro tyre to be great for all of our cars they know what they were doing and stock nearly everything and ive found to be them about the cheapest, were really good balancing and sorting out my 10" mini alloys but were also good at sorting my dads porsche wheels and took real care over the alloy wheel nuts etc
