Any suggestions of a good route to take through the Cotswolds, stopping off at a good pub for lunch?

Thanks guys.

Try the Wild Duck Inn www.thewildduckinn.co.uk near Cirencester and my workshop! Well worth a visit.
The A429 is a good quick road passing through Stow on the wold and Bourton on the water.

Right.

From Cheltenham, go tp Bishops Cleeve, through the village and into Gotherington (can go via the main road if you don't know the way)
Then along past Prescott,
Left at teh T junction on the edge of Gretton
Through Gretton Fields
Right onto the main road
All the way to toddington r-bout and then straight over and on into stow
right at stow
Then a choice of either left and on to burford and then over the a40 and down that way to ciren etc
or cut back to Cheltenham (on the lower swell road if you're feeling brave) or fork right after bourton and back that way onto the A40 at andoversford.

Should be plenty of pubs along that route. Or do it backwards and stop at the Royal Oak in gretton.

And this road from Nailsworth to Avenong is a belter too (over the mini r'bout and then fork left up the hill).

Cheers guys - I'll give that a go Agent006. Went to Bourton yesterday via Leckhampton Hill etc but didn't get much good scenery in - my mates are coming along and I want to put on a good show of our local area.

You see Prescott on TG yesterday by the way?

Managed to get out on Monday for our little jaunt through the Cotswolds. Went Chelt, Prestbury, Cleeve Hill, Winchcombe, Stanton (had lunch in the Mount Inn), Staunton, Broadway, Snowshill and then it got really really foggy and quite treacherous on the roads (especially for me in a new TVR - alright for my mates in their scoobies etc) so I decided to miss out the Slaughters etc and head home to the pub. Which meant we started drinking at 1600.

Always a pleasure...

There are two good routes on the Tourist Information site, one 75 miles long and the other just over 90.

I set this up for the local TVRCC, have a look - I prefer the roads out west.
