It sure is at the brislington station....but think i will stick to optimax
Well... good to hear it is in town. There was a thread over on G.G. a while back on Tesco 99Ron most posters *appeared* to like it. Think I'll try a tank or two in the R33,(Likes optimax & Texaco super UL but hates BP super UL btw) just to see.
5th Gear are doing a super unleaded comparison test on tomorrow's show, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

just a quick question about super/optimax etc...
whats best to use in my forester s turbo?
I neveer used anything else than normal unleaded in my daily tin tops.
Tesco 99, but dunno if you'll need to get the ECU reset once you're running on it to make the most use of all those RONs.
I've been told that turbo charged cars tend to get the best returns with these higher RON petrols. Also been told that many cars are not set up to extract the additional power from them in which case an owner may be wasting money. Think EVO magazine should have an interesting article on fuel benefits in the next month or so......

Some geeky guys in the US tested the 100 S4 with fuels of various octane ratings back in the '90s when the cars were current - the only time higher octane fuel made a useful difference was when towing a trailer up a mountain. Having said that, the ECU can of course be remapped to take advantage of the higher octane fuel...
