In light of The Podie honouring us with his presence, shall we all peg down the dates we can and can't make, bearing in mind he's penciled in the 25th?

Ta!

Neil (fine with 25th)

25th is ok by me. In fact its unlikely not to be, whereas the 27th could possibly prove tricky nearer the time...

I prefer the term "forced by his employers"

Be great if it was the 25th - looking forward to it.

What's the weather doing? Guess it'll be dark by 7:30 either way...

Yes - since it's not a good time of year or day for hooning, maybe we could, in deference to Neil, go to a place on Park Street or Whiteladies Road.

[radical thought] Does it even have to be a curry? We could get ribs at Henry Africas, or something similar.

25th is good for me, although budget issues may preclude my attendance this month.

Non curry sounds a good plan, maybe k50DEL might come within a 5 mile radius of us then!

I'm not too fussy on foodstuffs consumed (obviously would be if it meant no beer) - so alternatives could be considered providing its not Chinese or similar - not a big fan.

Thanks for thinking of me Yertis

25th is good for me..

Happy with curry, equally happy to see if I can find the slowest, oddest dish in another type of establishment..

Alternatively, loads of silly drinks with hats on in Henry Afrikas followed by a bag of chips on the way home.. See, easily pleased me..

no wonder I flunked English at school - my english is terrible (guessing as to what deference means) - but I agree - I, too was thinking of the talent and not my lurid fantasies...

Oh no! I missed out last month... by November the DTs will be making it impossible to drive!

We could always try the ancient art of pie & chips at that place in Downend we used to go...

Possibly a candidate for starting a new thread rather than confusing the issue?
