Seen various things flying around, didn't think too much to it until I heard a pair of Merlins overhead. Two Spitfires in close formation and looking like they were having fun..

Two questions spring to mind. Whats going on? Some sort of air display in a few days?

More importantly.. :scratchchin: How can I get a job doing something that looks so much fun? :D :bouncw:

Concorde, sptitfire and the sound of a V8 are the three things that still send a tingle down my spine. Oh, and I've been told also everytime I see the missus.

Was overflown today by 2 spitfires in close formation, just to the left of those were a herc with two harriers either side.

Lovely sight, especially the spitfires giving it some serious beans together later on.

Damn good show.

That's the Harrier engine isn't it? I hear they're coming out of service soon.

Yea, sure it is the Harrier engine, if you really want to see one in detail have a look in the industrial museum by the docks, they have one stripped & all the parts open to see.... i still cant understand how it bloody works so well!
