Forest walk near Exeter?
Discussion
I'm on holiday with my family staying in Topsham. Thinking a nice shady walk in the forest will be good to escape the heat today for a few hours. Nothing too strenuous as my daughter is only 5 and as already said; it's bloody hot.
Found a few on Forestry Commission website but it's a bit light on detail and some local knowledge would be helpful.

Only just noticed this and with the weather apparently turning this weekend, perhaps this post will be no use!
If not, head to Haldon Forest, just off the A38. Loads of woodland and signposted walks of varying lengths/toughness. Naturey educational stuff for the kids too.
