As title, comes into effect on March 15!

I just think this is a money making scheme, delivery lorries/vans will still need to get to the shops in the zone to deliver, taxis will just pass the cost on along with bus companies, private cars are (currently) exempt so I;m guessing people wont bother with parl & ride if the cost goes up,they will just drive their car into the zone

I like Bath, but "if" they start charging visitors to shop I won't be taking the wife there when of course we are allowed out of the house for more than supermarket and work

This must eventually start hitting local businesses such as restaurants, bed and breakfasts, hotels. Places like Bath and Oxford get lots of tourists and not everyone will be happy using Park and Rides. I’d have thought it was suicide for town councils to impose these restrictions.

Money maker that’s all. My father-in-law sold a 1.5d van as it cost him £9 a day to work in bath. He bought a trailer to carry his work kit in and now used a 2.0d car with no charge..

What annoys me most is the inconsistency between areas, how are you meant to know this? I travel a lot and according to the registration checker my Range Rover will be charge exempt in Bath, chargeable in Birmingham, exempt in Bradford, chargeable in Bristol, unknown for Manchester and exempt in Portsmouth!

Bath is only charging commercial vehicles.

The councilors know they will be pretty rapidly unelected if they went for private cars in a city with fk all public transport.
