2014 Mercedes C Class Estate C250 retrofit
Discussion
Hi all! New to the forums as I'm getting my first Mercedes this weekend! Just sold my 2011 chrysler 300c so looking forward to another decent size car.
I live down in the southwest of Cornwall in England and not sure if anyone here knows where to retrofit a few bits. I'd love a 360 cam and have the interior ambiance lighting installed. Gutted this car won't have the ambiance lighting but it is what it is.
Also, is it worth remapping the car or not. I hear of some stories where it messed with your engine and I'd hate to have a lovely new car ruined right away by having unnecessary work done. Once again if anyone is down this way, some recommendations for that would be good to.
Thanks in advance everyone!

Yep. 205. Retrofit of interior ambient lighting can be done.
Two options, OEM - you will need to buy a replacement centre console with the LED strips and the same for door inserts. It will then have to be wired in and enabled in the OBD. Expensive.
Aftermarket - wider choice of colours, not controlled via infotainment (but its buried in the menu anyway, so not great loss). Cheaper.
360. Yours should have reversing. 360 is possible but requires a lot of trim removal, wiring, altered wing mirrors and lots of OEM parts. Then coding. Expensive. Car is not big enough to need it.
More info on MB specific forums.
ETA: remapping. 250d is fine, decent infact. The gains aren't really there to be had, I think safely about 235hp. Get a celtic tuning box and try it.
