Wheel refurb near Thornbury
Discussion
Hey all,
My mum is looking to get the wheels refurbed on her 2014 golf GTI, they are those diamond cut style ones and she's looking to go to single colour powdercoat (excellent decision).
She's had a quote of £405 from the wheel specialist in Avonmouth...which frankly seems mental, they are all straight and have minimal to no kerbing.
Over my way in Herts where everything costs a fortune you are looking at £250-350 for a set of 4 wheels up to 19", so £400+ is mental.
Any recommendations within an hours drive of Thorners?
thx!

Although expensive the Wheel Specialist did my 19” ally’s on a previously owned Mercedes, the job they did was superb - very impressed. I used the recently opened branch in Weston and from drop off to collection I was very impressed.
I think if your going powder coat then £100 a wheel considering the prep and process required plus removal from car, tyre removal, refitting, balancing etc. is pretty good.
Most places will offer a seemingly lower price but just do a cheap face only refurb, as they say you pay for what you get I guess.
Good luck!
