Hi all! I am after some advice...

I need a pair of new boots for the Tuscan, but I need them before Le Mans next Tuesday. Any body got any advice on where to go / where not to go. Are there any good mobile companies round here?

Also I could do with a bit of advice as to what to put on. I have SO3s at the moment, but had Proxes T1S alround on the Chimaera and really like them. I'd like to put Proxes on the back of the Tuscan as I have them on the front, but think I could use something wider. I know that in standard form the Tuscan on 16" took 245s at the read, but the previous owner has put 225/55 on the back(?).

I live in Portishead and work in Aztec West. So a mobile service would be handy, or at least someone reasonably local that is open on Saturday.

Gordon.

Another vote for Protyre here (although I've only had landy tyres from them).

I have a pair of 245/55/17's SO3's on the back & they are a definate improvement in the wet & dry. They are also wearing really well, for the money i dont think you can get much better.

They're actually 245/45/ZR17's.....

£10 callout and £10 per tyre for fitting. I used the gloucester one and he did a great job.

Get a quote from a local independent then give Peninsula a call. They chopped a tenner off for two tyres for me, and I'm sure they will give you a pint and a pie at la Sarthe if you ask nicely.
