Hi,

I have a set of 1/18 scale rally driver / co-driver figures that I want copied so that I can put them into a couple different projects that I am doing. The majority of the figure is the same, just the hands & arms are in a slightly different position, one would be holding a steering wheel and the other the pace note book. It would be ok if they were the same.

They are made from, I assume, a soft plastic so not sure how it would react to a resin mould. It has taken me many years to get hold of a set as they were only available in a limited edition run of one type of car so impossible to replace.

Does anywhere in Torbay (preferably) or the surrounding area do 3D scanning & printing?

I thought that what with it becoming more & more popular that a shop or two may do it.

I would only be after 3 or so sets most likely & obviously would pay the relevant costs towards materials etc.. so long that it is reasonable.

Thanks

Andrew

we do a lot of 3D printing at work, and that's relatively easy get what you want. However 3D scanning is quite specialised and I know when we have enquired about it in the past its quite expensive. I wish you luck on your search but you may have to travel outside the area and re-evaluate how much you might think it costs.

Thanks. I think it will be too expensive but I have no idea.

When we have talked about 3D scanning, and granted they come to us, its 100's of pounds rather than 10's. I could easily see you being quoted
over £100 for the scanning side alone.

Think that I'm going to have to come up with a different approach then.
