Where to live in Taunton?

Hi - likely to be working in Taunton for 6-9 months soon. Will probably rent a small flat / studio as I like my own space.
Where to avoid - where is OK?

Be good if it is reasonably walking distance of the station......but not critical...

Avoid Roman Rd, Inner and outer Circle and the bottom end of Cheddon Rd.
There are a lot of new flats along the new NID, where in Taunton will you be working.
There are some great early morning driving out roads in most directions.

Working for a small s/w company - and with some on site work located at clients in the South West. Thanks, that is helpful feedback. I'd ideally like to be close to the centre for convenience although if I can get something better by going a little further out then OK. But has to be Taunton town - partly as I will need to get back up to London S/E regularly on the train regularly for work / family stuff.
All suggestions gratefully received..!!

Firepool development looks quite nice, close to centre and station, and likely to be quite a few small units available.

Have a look around Thomas st .

Mostly 2 up 2 down Victorian terraced but your 5 mins walk from station and you’ll have more room than a pokey new build flat .

Parking is ok as it’s resident permit .
