Hi all, me and my partner are new to the area, Shepton Mallet. We are both into our cars and was just interested to find out about any car meets in the area, groups or events close by? Hope to hear from you all.
Hi jasonbmw99Welcome to you both. I'm near Frome, just down the road.
Probably the best local meet is the Haynes Breakfast Club (usually) on 1st Sunday of the month.

If you of a 'more-back-to-front-baseball-cap disposition' (he says diplomatically!) the former Avenue Drivers Club has been taken over by the facebook crowd.

Welcome. It's an area full of great driving roads and brilliant people. There's also absolutely loads of affordable club-level motorsport going on in the South West if that's your thing (autosolos, trials, road rallying, off-roading etc.)
The Haynes meet is well worth going to. It's so big that it doesn't tend to be as sociable as a pub meet somewhere, but there's always interesting machinery around.
