Evening all,

Long time lurker here but, having recently made a temporary shift to the SW a little more permanent, I thought I’d best get involved in the general vehicle based shenanigans over here!

I’m a regular over at Queen Square and based in North Somerset for a bit before moving to Bristol. Looking for any PH’ers who have any Sunday drives etc. So I can tag along! ??

Cheers,

GT

I need to make the effort to get down to the QS meets again. My toy car hasn't moved since I went to the Autosport show in it laugh

From what I've been reading and hearing the traffic wombles are out on Sundays giving away parking fines

For anyone not parked correctly

Saying that I haven't been for months but it's got far to popular and parking in qs is limited

Unless you get out of bed and get there before 8am

Last few times I did go, I got there early and left before it got too busy. The wardens aren't too bad if you don't take the mick. I sit on double yellows down there most nights waiting for the wife and they aren't too bad normally.

A real shame if people are persistently complaining, it’s a very well run event IMHO although spoilt the last few weeks by a few idiots and the parking inspectors. Anyone tried the meet at Haynes Motor Museum?

I go most months as its just down the road for me - the sheer numbers can mean a pretty long wait if you want a Full English (they have a fast lane with sausage or bacon rolls) and the breakfast was probably better in the early days (only scrambled eggs now where as it used to be a choice of fried or scrambled as the fried eggs, sausages perhaps not as good as they used to be) but you get a big range of cars - often a fairly big Ford ST gathering, but also supercars, hot-rods, sports cars, etc.

You either want to get there early (before 9am) or later on if you want to park round the front car park, there is an overflow car park, grass parking and sometimes parking on the kart circuit area as well but I'd avoid the grass if it has been wet.
