A quick heads-up - PH's own driving expert Reg Local will be giving a talk in Keynsham on the morning of Saturday 30 September.

There will also be a free raffle for a few lucky attendees to get a demo drive from the man himself.

If you've ever wanted to know more about advanced driving, the event details are here.

Did we manage to sell you on the idea of further training? I love the idea of somebody turning up for test in a Lotus Cortina.

Yes you did and will be booking in a few weeks time. As for the LC, never gave that a thought. My other steed's are both auto so you never know !

That's good to hear - a course starts in a couple of weeks, the next in January. Seize the day.

Autos are fine to do it with, but doing a really good job in something older would be very impressive. I've had IAM associates with a 1912 Austin and a 50's Bristol, but unfortunately both were a bit too awkward for modern traffic.
