Thornfalcon Classics Annual Car Meet
Discussion
I went to this yesterday and yet again it was just really good. A huge variety of cars, great atmosphere and the traffic flow when I arrived at around 10:30 was way better than before.
The scouts did a great job of organising the parking and I suspect they collected a decent amount of money.
MX-5s and MG-TFs of all vintages there, but no MK3 MR2 Roadsters, so next year I'm taking mine :-)
Mrs Aux enjoyed the event far more than I expected too. She particularly loved the AC Cobras on show, we both agreed that when we get rid of the Roadster we'll probably get an Elise, and we also agreed that a spectacularly beautiful deep-blue and very new V12 Aston was the stand-out vehicle.

as grumpy says it was a good day. Yes a little rain when We left but I just needed to put my cap on (no roof in my tiger)
I was amazed at the amount of cars that had been parked in the show car section that should have been in the public car park. 318BMW? not even that old? Audi TT?
I wanted to take my Tiger Supercat as it's different. But from the looks of the cars on show I could have got away with taking my GT86 as well or even my Disco lol

Yes that surprised me too. At least a dozen cars that had me thinking "Really?"I was amazed at the amount of cars that had been parked in the show car section that should have been in the public car park. 318BMW? not even that old? Audi TT?

I notice this happening a LOT these days, I was at the Tewkesbury classic car meeting the same day, same issue there. Queen Square has gone that way too. Some in reverse, there was a mini that had the roof chopped of & that should have been in the show , Newish Porsche etc were very boring but the old Rollers were great, also had a nice chat with the owner of the light purple TVR Cerbera , it is in amazing condition. Good selection of Alfa's & i had a nice chat to a guy who has an immaculate 3.0 Alfa 916 Spider, about the roof's & trim etc ,very helpful indeed. Also a great range of old 60's bikes, I was a bit disappointed that there was no Ariel Leaders on show, they are such classy things nowadays. Good day though.
