There are quite a few going from my club (kitnet.uk), around 30 maybe, but I have a nasty feeling the rain may keep some of us away! I have no wet weather protection at all (unless you count a crash helmet!)

Well if anybody went today and happened to watch the 12:30 session then you would of seen me on track
Though not for long as the engine spat it's oil over my windscreen and engine pay is coverd
The girly car Is dead
Wasn't there myself - rain stopped play. Sad to hear about your car though dude. Track time has a habit of doing that to cars, you can thrash it all you like on the road but on a track it is SO much harder on the car. If you have even the smallest in your cars armour the track will find it in no time!Though not for long as the engine spat it's oil over my windscreen and engine pay is coverd

Hope you get it fixed and running again soon mate.
the cars dead so much compression in the engine the dip stick jump out a good inch or so and with engine running you can feel the resistance putting the dip stick back in not to mention the smoke and miss firing
i payed 650 for the car as a write off ive had some fun out of it and spent alot getting it to whare it is .Though just a shame when i finally get it running 100% it dies horrible death
ive decided ill break the car now rather than spend money on a new engine and getting someone to fit it
i still have the boring bora so ill still attend a few meets

the chav: Sorry to see that..... I 'blew' an MGB engine at 'Combe back in 1999. Nothing spectacular (melted bearings) - was able to drive home.
The bright side was that rather than rebuild the MGB engine I replaced it with an Alfa Romeo 1750; more powerful & a hell of a lot lighter.
I think many of us have blown engines on track days - it's a combination of (as F1 ASBO said) track days finding weaknesses in our cars together with
1) A helmet acts as a noise suppressor - it masks noises that, if we heard them on the road, we would just stop.
2) On track we all suffer from the 'red mist' (yes, I can see the oil pressure light/temperature light but it will be ok for 1 more lap!)
Best of luck with the next 'project'

I thought I heard something wasn't right with the engine. As it lost power on the 3rd lap .but picked back up again .so ignored it as all temps were fine
Then on the back of the circuit my red oil light came on then a big splash of oil up the windscreen
At witch point I new it was game over and something was broken
With the whole engine bay coverd in oil I'm supprised the oil on the exhaust didn't go up in flames
Though now the ball ache of the job breaking the car and making many trips to the post office with parts to post
New car hopefully soon just need to decide what car
