Hello,

I've just been "offered" some work to be done by an official Skoda service centre in north Wiltshire, but the price seems, erm, high (I know, I shouldn't be surprised). Can anybody recommend somebody who may offer a better deal in the Chippenham/Devizes area, please?

Many thanks in advance.

Mk2 Octavia vRS specialist - that would be one hell of a niche specialist!

Indeed, any specialist will knock this out. If I remember rightly, its mostly the correct oil needed to avoid the camshaft turning cylindrical

True! I was thinking that somebody may know of a, "Dave down the road who is a good general garage, but he really knows his stuff on these."

My Skodas always went to Ian at AudiVW of Marlborough. Seemed to know his stuff, honest and reasonably priced.

New inlet manifold: worn flaps. I've had quotes from two service centres so far. The second was nearly 30% cheaper than the first! confused

For completion, I can thoroughly recommend S&K Autos! They gave an excellent price and went beyond my expectations with regard to customer service. Thank you for drawing my attention to them! thumbup
