Has anybody used Ramp It Up in Bristol to have some under sealing/rust protection carried out?

I would like to get my Transit done.

I've not used them but am looking at renting a ramp in the new year for a day or so.

I've used them a couple of times to do work on my cars - normally exhaust jobs, so much easier on a ramp!

Prices are pretty reasonable and the guys are friendly and helpful, but can't comment on their undersealing job as haven't seen them carrying it out at all.

Well spotted, I've never used the place but I hope to get under my Porsche next spring.
Hopefully it'll be sold as a going concern and remain unchanged.
It's almost tempting to speak to the owner and get a look at the books, I wonder how profitable it is? coffee

Not that far away from your current job either wink

Say hello to the BH SSC team from Tom Simes, hopefully a few will remember me from my time working with them in the Dog House in 2010/11 wavey

Used them for ramp stuff, brakes mainly Chris the owner is really helpful. IHMO the success of the place is down to the owner(s) being willing to offer guidance when needed and unusual tools.

Shame to find its up for sale the very short lease remaining must be a concern to any potential buyer.

I used RAMP-IT-UP when I did my mini cooper s (r53) clutch.

The job was a nightmare BUT Chris and his staff were great. Can't recommend them enough.
I've got a few jobs on the chimarea and also an XC90 that I need to find time to do and I'll be taking it down to them again.

Keep meaning to take my transit down to them to under seal, but still have not got around to it! Will do it soon.

Closed its doors yesterday, with what appears to be zero notice.

A real shame, without knowing anything of the details of their business I can only say I've visited several times and even on weekdays they certainly seemed to be busy. frown

Hopefully something similar pops up or they find a decent franchisee to set up another as it was a great place.

I've used ramp it up in bristol a couple of times. Liked it, and would go back, in fact I wanted to use it this weekend and I saw it was booked up for two weeks on the website. I wonder if they've found a new owner and it'll open again soon. Last time I was there I spoke to the owner and mentioned the sale. He said the company did ok, but he wanted to free up some of his time and energy, that was all.
