Audio Installer - Stroud Area

The missus would like a better stereo in her car and there's a little part of me that doesn't fancy having the local Halfords fit the kit. I might be being harsh on the big H, but if anyone knows an independent installer they can recommend, I'd be grateful.
Cheers
If you can get to Gloucester, Sextons are pretty good.Cheers
Is it just headunit you replacing? If so, they are literally so easy to do, 10 minute job max.
It does depend upon the car but most of the time a head unit is a 10 minute job with minimal tools or skills needed.
Some are an utter PITA though. Not really sure about installers as I've always done my own, Halfords can't be ruled out though as they won't touch anything that's likely to be too difficult.

How difficult to fit depends on the type of car and the type of headunit.
Some are very much plug & play or you may need to purchase an OEM to *your chosen brand of stereo"* adapter plus a aerial adapter.
Or you may require a dashboard adapter which allows larger OEM headunits to be swapped to a standard single DIN or double DIN size.
Sextons in Gloucester is a good shout, not been in there for years but literally bought a boot loads full of audio gear in the past from them. That said if it is a standard size stereo in a standard din hole then Halfords should really be able to cope with that!!

Ah - the love of Stroud! And why not too - it looks spectacular this morning.
I did it myself in the end. As expected, there's almost no room behind the factory headunit, so having to add a harness for the unit, plus a harness adaptor, mic wire and antenna wire, its safe to say it's cramped back there now. Some manhandling was required, but it was easy in the grand scheme of things.
Cheers for the heads up on Sextons though. I want to add DAB and BT to my own car, not so easy as it's an Audi system, therefore not stock at all - pro will be the way to go!

The frost & sun combination was rather nice this morning, the minus 5 temperature not so.Cheers for the heads up on Sextons though. I want to add DAB and BT to my own car, not so easy as it's an Audi system, therefore not stock at all - pro will be the way to go!
For your Audi, it's worth having a chat with Jamie at A1 autos in Stroud (just off the bypass opposite the butty wagon) his shop is relatively new but he is a Audi master tech an spent years at the dealership in Tetbury.
