We have a 4 person lift which has glass doors in Work. One has been broken. Unsure how but seems a few window people are unable to replace the glass which would result in a huge cost to replace the door.

Would anyone know of a glass specialist who may be able to replace lift glass window/door without having to buy a whole new door?

cheers

It may be worth contacting a lift company ( we used Triangle in Clevedon) rather than a pure glazing firm.

Unless you have already tried this option.......In which I will get my coat!

If it's still one piece so can be dimensionally copied perhaps speak to a real specialist capable of 'structural glazing'; one such is GG Glass, but they are not local. UKGlassdesigns are, but I've not used them - probably worth a call though.

I have had a real specialist in and the dismantling of the glass in the mount is not easy and may require specialist tools to remove. So i have been told

I shall have a look at Dave on FB and ask him further to find out more. To add if you can get him to reply on here that would be great.

cheers
