Good pubs for food near Castle Combe
Discussion
Afternoon gents,
We are heading up to Castle Combe on Saturday and the other half suggested stopping somewhere for dinner on the way back, now I am rubbish at finding places to eat so thought I would open it up to you guys.
We are not looking for fine dining just a good old fashioned pub grub Car park would be good!
We will be traveling from Combe to Taunton via Trowbridge, Frome etc.
Any ideas??

How about heading South towards the A303 and popping in to the 3 Daggers:

That's my second nearest pub, and really is excellent! However, it's a good 30-40mins (depending on traffic) from Combe... but only 10 mins from Trowbridge.http://www.threedaggers.co.uk/
Much closer to the circuit is The Bell at Yatton Keynell, and I've never had a bad meal there. You can walk from the track. http://www.yattonkeynell.com/about-the-village/the...

Personally I like the Game Suet Pudding.

I was there Wednesday evening. Had the most massive mixed grill I've ever seen (couldn't finish it!). Just as well I didn't have a starter..Gassing Station | South West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
