As title, i know a lot of you will have heard of it or seen it from close uo or afar but after decades of towering over Westbury it is to be demolished......

No date has been set yet but I bet there will be little standing room left on Westbury White Horse on the day it comes down!

I can't see the Council putting a last-minute preservation order on it, somehow...

The landmark chimney, which dominates the Westbury skyline, will, subject to the correct weather conditions, be brought down by controlled explosion on Sunday 18th September at about 06.45am, the exact time will be announced nearer the date.
