What can we do !!!
Discussion
It can't just be me who is becoming more and more infuriated with the state of the roads in North Wiltshire. Over the last few months I've heard stories from friends and clients who have lost tyres and damaged wheels. The situation is horrendous and we really haven't had a hard winter
In and around the villages surrounding Malmesbury holes seems to be appearing daily and are being filled I would assume by amateurs/locals because a few days later the holes seem to open up again.
Surely there must be something we can do, lives must be at risk and whilst driving at night the situation is 100 times worse.
Is it just Wiltshire that has the problem or other south west counties running the daily gauntlet.

A massive drop over a ramp going into Portbury Docks, Really gets on my wick. And generally every road is in a poor state.
It is. Going in it's not too bad! Coming out I have to almost stock and crawl over it, or drive on the other side to make it comfy. It's ste! BTW Are you in there now?! :O

try Cheltenham, terrible
So true In the summer there was a pothole on the Bath Road so bad that the pipework (water? Gas? Electrics? Who knows, it was big and orange) below the road was exposed. Sadly the local council's contractors don't seem capable of doing anything other than throwing a bit of grit into the holes.

Loving the c**k graffiti but like a lot of things in life its not the length more the depth/girth, so I've been told And this one taken this morning must be a good six inches deep. Note the patchwork of temporary repairs, this hole has been filled more than once
Another reason why I'm looking forward to Le Mans Classic in July, a great opportunity to drive on some great roads without my heart in my mouth every 10 seconds.

Roads are bad around Malmesbury, there are a couple of huge pot holes on the Bassett to Malmesbury road, they couldn't be more than 20' apart. One gets repaired and the other is ignored and eventually gets repaired a few days later. Costs the council another trip out which was not necessary and people wonder why the council just can't keep up with it.
Also a colleague wrecked 2 tyres last week, literally days before the council repaired that particular series of potholes.
Does the highway code include slalom?
