Has anyone had any experience of Smart Car UK in Swindon? My 205 GTi has a couple of little areas of rust in the back wheelarches I'd like to get seen to before they get any worse.

Many thanks smile

Hi Andrew

Some time ago I was talking generally about bodyshops with the service manager at Lexus.

If spending your own money he recommended Smart Car Uk.

Never used them myself however.

Missing the 7?

Hello Huw! Long time no speak, hope you're well?

That's good to know about Smart Car UK, there's some testimonials on their website but it always pays to ask on here.

Missing the 7 like mad frown House renovations have gone well though, we're almost done. I've decided to invest a bit more time and money in the 205 GTi this year to make it pristine (it's close but not quite there yet) as it'll be the deposit for another 7 in a few years time.

You going to the L7C curry mid Jan?

Glad to hear you're making progress with the house.

Yes, will be there in Jan. Catch-up properly then.

I've used them several times on different cars and I believe the front end of my 911 was tidied up there by the dealer before i bought it. It would be my first choice in the area and i believe a lot of the dealers use them too. Always full of Porsche, Mercedes, BMW etc when i've been down there.

I had a very different experience with it taking at least 4 re attempts to get the job right...

Dick Lovett spraymaster gets my vote.

They are the only people I take my cars too. The work on the M5 was impeccable, they have done work on a few of mine now, They even stopped me on one job and advised against a repair.

Great lads and lasses.

I would recommend them. They have worked on mine and friends cars.
He started off as a mobile guy going round the dealerships (used to come to us at Merc) with his van doing small repairs then got big enough to get premises.

He did the rear quarter on my Impreza and just to satisfy his own OCD filled in all the stonechips on the front end with the leftover paint for free smile

Would be my first port of call now as some of my cars have been through other bodyshops that have done terrible work

I used to work for Dick Lovett and in the group we refered to Spraymaster as Spraydisaster. One of the techs at my place crahed an Exige and when we got the repaired on back weeks later it looked like someone had hactually wrapped it in orange peel rather then respray it.
