Have been filling up hire cars with costco gas for ages in the USA, cant say i have noticed any lower performance. Always thought with petrol being such low margins over here with all the taxes and supermarkets using it as a loss leader was the reason costco didn't have petrol stations over here. It will be interesting to see how this works out for them and if we will see them installed at other stores.
I was wondering what they had been doing and asked them a while ago. I knew it was going to be cheaper but under £1 is good news.
I will try out their super in the 86. As said can't be bad. And worth a try.
Costco did say back some 5-8 years ago when it first opened they where putting a fuel station there. just wondered when. And about time

There's been one at Costco Liverpool for a couple of years.I filled up there on Thursday. All self service although there was a guy there in hi viz helping out the new comers.
Quite satisfying driving off having paid 99.9/litre.
I'm sure it'll be very popular as it won't take too long to recoup the membership costs if you're doing big miles.
Plus I work fairly nearby so it's not even a special journey.

No idea on the rating but did fill up my 4x4 on Monday for the first time and noticed they have Unleaded, Premium Unleaded and only Premium Diesel So i gather they only sell the higher quality diesel as you may get at shell etc..?
Only guessing as I have no idea. It was only 104.9 cheaper than local to me. Not that I would put premium diesel in my 4x4 normally

Their diesel is pitched as being as good as Shell V Power, BP Ultimate etc and if you normally buy that then saving should be significant - my missus had an EU6 VW and I'm scared to use anything other than V Power even though I cheerfully put supermarket diesel in my Merc . It was still 119.9 in the Shell station near me the other day.Only guessing as I have no idea. It was only 104.9 cheaper than local to me. Not that I would put premium diesel in my 4x4 normally
Costco always sell good quality merchandise but you can usually get a cheaper version elsewhere, so their position on diesel makes sense. However doesn't really explain why they do both versions of petrol.

I would think only the purist would want Super but if you have a diesel then happy to put what ever as long as it's cheap
