Hello in Somerset
Discussion
The SW pistonheads groups are mainly split in to North & South groups (North = Bristol and South =Exeter)
You are lucky enough to be in the middle and can pick and choose your days out with us.
In general the Bristol guys do the Bristol square Sunday meets, Us Exeter area guys tend to go out on spirited drives & the odd show, but living down here we all expect to have to drive to get to things.
Haynes meet is a great place to start.
Thornfalcon classic is also excellent, i complete mix of cars and very big, not far from you near Taunton

Sounds good to me, Darren (Iluvmercs) and Mark (MarkCSC) were very good at organising runs around the Norfolk and Suffolk country side. Nothing like driving a 5 mile journey from meeting point to lunch stop with 2 hour B-road detour Just up the road in Bruton. As mentioned above the Haynes Motor Museum meet is pretty good each month - normally the first Sunday of each month, but Septembers is the 13th.

Just a little bit up from Bruton in East Cranmore ...Hi
Strangely I'd never heard of Cranmore until I accidentally called in there on Saturday!I was was out for a drive and looking for some lunch. I saw a sign to the pub off the A road, but missed the next turning (someone had hung balloons on the pub signpost for a wedding). I intended to turn around in the next road but that turned out to be the East Somerset railway, so I had a coffee and sandwich in their cafe instead.

The pub is a good one, above average and would make a very good meeting point for a PH get together.
The Strode Arms, East Cranmore... http://thestrodearms.co.uk/
Also the Railway would be a good meeting point, it even has guarded parking
I live on one of the hills overlooking the village.....
