My little MX-5 has failed its MOT on two spots of corrosion, on the seat belt anchorage point and the front subframe chassis mount. The guys at the garage don't think it's particularly terminal (and I trust them as they've worked on many of my cars over the years), and reckoned £100ish worth of welding would get the car back on the road for another year.

Can someone recommend me a good welder that'll work on the car for me please? Thanks in advance smile

I use a garage at Elberton, a chap called Alan. Has done some welding on my exhaust and did a really neat, professional job. Very reasonable rates too.
On another note was it you who was going to view a T350 at shmoo in Devon ( I was in the Chimaera at the petrol station)
If it was did you buy it? biggrin

Thanks Ian - going to head over to see Alan tomorrow.

That was me, and yes I did buy it! I'm having a JP exhaust fitted (because noise) and I pick the car up at some point next week/weekend. Ecstatic!

Great news and well done! biggrin
Alan is also looking after quite a few of the local TVR's now and he runs one himself
Get yourself over to the tvr bristol facebook page, you'll be able to see when we are going out for a run or attending events as they tend to be a little ad-hoc.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing the T350 thumbup
