What a cracker, I have to say!

For me, with the old man haing his 'speed triple' tomorrow at 8am it meant a day staying local, nevertheless what a beautiful day and one to be exploited hence...

What did you do?...

I went and had a play in the snow:

Managed to beach it on a verge later on too which was a rather interesting experience. Locked the diff and managed to reverse off eventually, damn these lowered springs.

I spent the morning trying to put a new front wing on my car, replacing the bashed then badly repaired one.

After the third bolt snapped I started to lose my patience. Got two sorted easily enough, but the third? No, had to drill the bugger out. That meant taking the front bumper off as well to get at it.

Still, with the bumper off it was actually easier to fit the new wing when I got the bolt sorted, and I somehow got it done in time for lunch. It's all on there now, freshly washed and shiny. Huge improvement over the old wing.

Sadly, I had to clean up the garden, walk the dogs, cook dinner and then...do some work .

A beautiful morning, the car was polished & in the garage, we were up at 8.30 for a blast drive down on the A37 somewhere. Feeling thursty we pulled in the Esso garage in Whitchurch before really setting off & then it happened. Starter motor buggered, ignition on, fuel pump pumping but just a 'click' when she should have sprung to life. Bugger. We ended up bumping it in the forecourt & just going home. Need to do some phoneing around today & sort it out. Not the best of Sundays but hey it could have been worse...
