So having spent £1,000,000 installing charging points for EVs across Bristol the council have admitted that on average each one has been used less than one a month. What a complete waste of money!
George Ferguson stated yesterday "As we celebrate our year as European Green Capital we need to a lot more to to make a positive impact upon the city's air quality". So will he raise the 20mph limits to 30mph so we can stop driving around in 2nd gear? Of course not.

Living outside of Bristol (thankfully) I'm not inconvenienced on a daily basis but miffed when I have to enter the city. I try to avoid doing so when possible because of the 20 limits - so his plan has worked!
Of course, this means I don't spend any money at any of the businesses or shops I used to, but I'm sure he'll be happy once Bristol is commerce free.
I've asked many people, but of those I've spoken to, absolutely nobody voted for him. How the heck does that work?

I also feel unwelcome in Bristol and only venture in if I cannot get and do what I want or need elsewhere. 45 on the M32, 20 round the centre and all up Whiteladies Road, chicanes, excessive traffic lights, RPZs and "pace cars". Why would anyone want to go to Bristol.
Unfortunately I have to go in quite often for work and I've devised a plan to have a bit of a go back. I always quote a written fixed price quote for a job, but the invoices from here on will show £30 less than that but are subject to a £30 "George Ferguson Surcharge" thereby bringing the total up to the quoted price. Point made, I hope.

There is a electric bicycle shop as you come up to the roundabout by Primarni, as my daughter calls it, and it is always closed. Can we read anything into this? Comments please :lol:

Good work! If Ferguson is voted out/removed from office will you be giving lower quotes for Bristol work? Shortly to introduce residential parking near to a Clifton block of rental flats i own. In the past month three lots of tenants have served notice to vacate, with myself avoiding shopping, socialising any where in the Clifton, Redland area. Retailers, traders and small businesses will lose trade, with many relocating outside of Bristol.

That will suit him, you will be forced to take in social tenants which will give a balance to an affluent area. We cannot have people who own cars living away from poor people.It is madness and what is worse is the support he gets from the councillors who seem to support him. If I recall correctly, they took a residents vote for residents parking before which was resoundly beaten, was there another vote or is it he knows best?

Wouldn't your tennants get the residential parking permits?Seems mad to move when the reality is your going to have more chance of parking than ever before.
