Im picking up my Hyundai Genesis from the port tomorrow, but before I can get it registered/taxed I need to get a UK light conversion and SVA (or MOT?) completed. I have my lighting conversion scheduled for next week at SCS LTD in Martock, but they don't know anything about doing an SVA, only an MOT. My car is less than 36 months old, so my understanding is that it needs a SVA rather than an MOT (I could be very wrong though) Has anyone ever imported a newer vehicle and can help me out with the proper way of doing this?

Pretty sure the SVA has to be carroed out at a VOSA testing station.

Page 12 of the SVA Application form lists the addresses - there is one in Taunton.

I looked into this some time ago for a special build, so things may have changed.

Great thanks, I am legal to drive up to 30 days with my import paperwork/insurance and US plates, but Im trying to get everything sorted next week. It was a pretty nice drive back from the vehicle processing center today.
