I've got a few concerts coming up in the region and I wondered how many others go to gigs in the area?

Coming up so far I have...

1st Feb Bristol Academy - NME tour with Killers, Futureheads, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party (my fave)

6th Mar Plymouth - Paul Weller

7th Mar Exeter Uni - Doves

Can't wait

Laid up in bed - joys of wireless lan - so I am missing Keane tonight. How gutted?....

Mind you hoping to be fit for Tsunami gig in Cardiff on Sat.

Have recently seen Faithless and Muse in London and got my better half tickets to see Ocean Colour Scene at Colston Hall later this year.

Roll on Glasto!

Thanks for that - am feeling a good bit better today - amazing what 36 hours in bed can do for a bloke.

My other half said it was awesome so yes, I am looking forward to Saturday! Shame I missed it as it should be the last time they will play such a small venue. Roll on 2008 (?) when Bristol gets its 5000 seat arena..... finally.

Faithless are great live. Went to see OCS in leeds, they were superb.

Tickets for glasto are going to go even faster this year since the announcement that is not happening in 2006.

Tickets are up to £125 this year and there will be the same number as last year (150,000).

Apparently the phone lines will open on a Sunday this year to enable more people to get though (I presume because the local exchange is less busy on a Sunday). To stop touts selling them on, you will need photo ID at the gate to prove its your name on the ticket. Whether they will insist or not I dont know, probably just scare tactics.

I must confess I was one of the naughty people who climbed over the fence for quite a few years. It kind of added to the excitement of it all. I pay now though.

Yep - there is a car load going up from Bristol to see them (again) in April at Alexandra Palace - going to be a great night!

I think Seetickets will be doing the ticketing again for Glasto this year - and yes, I too was one of the ones that benefited from the PH link

I also gather that there will be external noise monitors around the site this year - no more DJ Nutnut on the Radio1 stand until 6 am then...

Also booked in for Paul Weller in Plymouth on 6th March. Keeping my fingers crossed that he makes it this time.

Tend to follow some local bands, usually a good selection at the Queens Head at Albaston. Always good on a Saturady night!

Always good for a night out, one band caused a bit of a surprise.............they stopped playing the same daythey started!!!

My home is just outside Callington, never quite sure if this group is for all in the SW or just TVR owners, my preference at present is for Lotus :-)

Did I see that you had a meet up with Martin Worth at Xmas at the Rifle? I was interested to see the photos and description of his car.

Well the last two nights I have had two gigs in a row.
Sunday saw the legendary Paul Weller in Plymouth (must be the 15th time I have seen him) and boy apart from a gig at La Cigale in Paris which was a real up close affair this has been the best yet! This guy is on top form!

As for last night it was the turn of The Doves and to be honest I have never been so diasapointed since I saw Cast!
They were terrible! For a band that puts out consistantly excellent material from the studio their live offering was not up to it!
