Drift and Drag at smeatharpe Saturday 21st March
Discussion
I'm after a bit of advice.
I am in my 50's, have never really 'drifted' and own a Ferrrari 458. I'd love to have a go with it to see how it behaves when the back is et loose, without driving aids.
My question is; would I feel at home at this event or is it mainly for younger petrolheads?

The only word of warning I would say is for the drag racing, the surface is quite abrasive / stoney, so might have more risk of incurring stonechips etc. This all depends how precious you are of caring for the paint on your car. Personally my Skoda is battered enough, so I am quite tempted to pop up and see what the quarter mile times are like for my car. Also gives me a chance to break out the nitrous since the last install too.

Would look awesome seeing a 458 in the training pen but it'll best to start with a car cheaper than a new set of rear tyres for your 458. I've been there a few of these events and if you ask nicely you could get a passenger ride (can't remember if they do it here) to get the feel of things.
@Carl, want to meet at exeter services and drive in together? I'm up for a day out.

It trashes your car, these guys are sideways the whole time until they shred the tyres. Its for bangers with style, not Ferrari's.
I would recommend you take the fezza to a track day, pref a high calibre one
