Does anyone work there? I have a new contract starting tomorrow and having never worked in Bristol even though I live here, can you tell me what it is like around there @ 08:45.

I see I can take the RB before the willy wicket RB and get to my destination, so can avoid the WW RB.

Now from home on the east side of Bristol, digital doris says 5.5 miles to Emersons.
I did a test run today and it took 15 minutes door to door.

So for a 9am start I am going to leave home @ 08:00 but if you think I need to leave earlier I will.

Thank you

Where are you travelling from? East of Bristol covers a fair bit of ground.

The ring road has always been a ststorm at that time of day when I've tried it, with the 2+ lane and other lentilist claptrap.

Brislington.

2 mins from the A1474 so literally up the link road. Birchwood to broomhill road and left onto A4 left to A4174.

I think that 2+ lane is after the RB I can come off at.

I get on the ring road at 8.45am every morning at the roundabout before the Sainsbury's one and it's usually not too bad. I come off at the A432 Badminton Road one (heading for Yate) and from there on, the ring road is usually stuffed because of the +1 lane.

I'd definitely say the ring road was your best bet as the alternatives at that time of the morning don't bear thinking about. There is no +1 lane before Emersons Green.

If you are taking the Ring road from Bris to Emersons you'll be OK. It's from there to the M32 that's trouble.

I'll second that, it all goes wrong from the Willy Wicket roundabout down towards the M32, I leave early (6.30am) but cut across Winterbourne from Yate to Filton as even when I'm cycling and using the cycle path adjacent to the ring road, at ~7am it's been chaos down there!
