Ive searched for similar posts but get conflicting information and several of them are out of business. Who would you recommend to refirb my tt's wheels?

Platinumwheelrefurb are the old lepson wheel refurb people based in swindon. They had a good reputation as lepsons and this seems to be continuing.

Hi John. It was £40 a corner. This was 3 years ago so may have risen by now.

John. I am taking my car to have various things sprayed next week to Bristol Mg workshop in Yate and they refurb wheels too, I spoke to Ian today and he says he would be happy to quote you. He says it is usually £30-£35 per corner. He is spraying my rear quarter and plenum, alternator, coil and rocker covers too for a very reasonable price. Just google Bristol MG workshop. Regards, Gary

Those 30-40 quid a corner seem good value. I did all four of my MG ZT's for a shade under twenty quid total spent on materials, A good eight hours DIY work though and me old arms and hands ached a bit next day mainly to all the smoothing, rubbing down and age... smile Pleased with the results though and the savings :~

Here's the "how to" thread I put up on the 75/ZT Club site :~

Too far away from your area but, City Powder Coaters in Brum are good value at £20 for a bare alloy. Had several sets of alloy wheels refurbished there to a very satisfactory standard. That £20 is for the bare wheel though. With tyres, weights and valves removed.

I've used the Bristol MG Workshop for servicing and mechanical stuff for the five years I've had my MG but never used them for anything bodyshop related. I've always been pleased with the work they've done for me.
