So,

Up until a few hours ago a topic existed here where a member had proposed a meet on his property near Bristol airport and this meet was neither a charity or profit gaining exercise

Several members (myself included) had responded positively on the thread, yet now admin have seen fit to delete the thread (and, I am led to believe, not for the first time)

Might I be as bold as to ask why it has been deleted when I would imagine this type of event is what most of us love about PH?

Me too. Saw it once then Searched for it for ages.

I was doing some research for OTHER clubs that might be interested, by the time I had aome suggestions, the thread had gone.

This reads like Website Feedback...I think there's a forum for that.

Thanks for the support hopefully I can get admin onside Monday and the meet back up and running. It was removed last weekend as well before anyone got to see it and numerous emails have been sent to try to gain permission to post. One response was received promising to follow up but didn't hear anymore so thought I would try my luck again!

Just had a look in website feedback. A post from eybic may hold a clue.

Do not choose a username which is the same as a company or trading name, nor create multiple profiles or attempt to use any other person's PH log-in to post content without permission or promote charity events, recruit for charitable donations, surveys or seek votes for competitions without permission nor promote events without permission.
Seems somewhat draconian.

We don't allow the advertising or promotion of events; never have done.

By all means contact eybic for explicit permission to promote an event.

The reason for this is simple; it is to prevent the forums becoming filled with threads promoting every open day, car park meet and run out.
