Fitting Contemporary fireplace and plasma
Discussion
Hello all,
Does anyone know anyone who can supply and fit a modern gas fire. I have a traditional looking one at present and want to go for a modern " floating" looking one, ( hole in the wall type) whilst at the same time insatlling a 42" plasma ( which I have already bought).
Im really looking for a good fireplace centre who can do the lot.
Im based in Bristol so any advice gratefully received.
Merry Xmas

The only ones I could find when I was looking were stupid money, so I ended up buying the basic fire "Verine Vega" for about £375.00 and making the stainless steel back box and surround. The fire can be had with remote control as well for about £500.00
The only down side of this fire is your Knob gets a bit hot!

Try the fireplace shops on Gloucester Road, down the bottom, a couple of hundred yards up from the arches, just up from Radfords Hi-Fi. Either there or Flame and Grate in Hotwells.
They seem to have a reasonable selection of that kind of thing as well as the more traditional stuff.

IMO the one south of the arches, attached/next to the bed shop is better.
I don't know if they do modern fireplaces, but there is also a place in the buildings next to Montpelier station (turn right before the arches if you're going north on Gloucester Rd) which is dirt cheap. They may only do traditional stuff but it's worth a go.
