My parents have just enjoyed a fortnight holiday in the Devon and Cornwall area.
They took a touring caravan, but with my dad being an ex railway man, they also travelled quite a bit on the train.
They noticed what looked to be a pullman coach in what appeared to be in quite good condition just outside Umberleigh.
Does anybody from the area know a bit more about it please?

No idea on the carriage in question but O/T if your folks are in Northern France they may enjoy a stop off at the Crocodile restaurant chain - each is based around a railway carriage. Out of town food chain, Harvester style but their menu price includes serve yourself drink (as much as you like!) including wine & beer. Been once, will return.
Knocks spots off our out of town chains for quality & value & you have the option of eating in an old carriage.
Crocodile is a nick name for a certain type of old continental train.
Check out their locations online.
