I've been spoiled for meetings to attend for the last 8 or 9 years, living on the Hants/Berks/Surrey borders.

Are there ever any in Devon or Cornwall, within reasonable distance of Plymouth?
Are there enough PHers there to organize one?

There are plenty of us, but not many like to organise events. So Lee or I often create impromptu days out.

On average there is probably something to do every other weekend.
I've organised stuff around Plymouth, Cornwall and had 30 people attend, others get 8-10 cars. Depends on the date really

But let me say WELCOME wavey

I can see Plymouth train station from my window, so I suppose I count.

However I weekend at my country retreat in Exeter, so a midweek meet would be graced with the arrival of a 24 year old toyota. Automatic. The only thing it has in common with most PHers' cars is that both Giles and I can use full throttle in the wet and still put the power down smile

Barring a collapse in the chain, we should be living near Callington in a few months time.

Must be time for another tunnel run. Been trying to rally the MPS & Z4 Forums for meets. Like trying to raise the dead. Much more meet action on here. (Glad I spelt that right)...

Welcome to the SW Rob.

Bring it on Lee. driving

We're always up for a meet, but there's been so many events and shows it limits how many meets I can afford this time of year.

Lee has said he'll try to arrange a meet, we are at Santa Pod on weekend 5/6 July but should be up for a meet towards end of July

I live in Plympton, currently working in London but coming back to the south west in October full time. Would definitely be up for some meets!

Been far too long since I attended a meet, anybody up for something in the Exeter area one evening or weekend?

What happened to the Crediton? gatherings that started last year?

They had to stop - apparently someone turned up with a car without a starting handle and was burned as a witch by the locals.

There's still the Red Lion at Shobrooke last Thurs of every month.

Hi Rob,
Well you have a neighbour who has an Aventador. So not bad company.
you have/had the same predicament as us. There is much less that goes on here, but that said, people are just so much more friendly, it more than makes up for it.
Hope to see you soon.
Cheers,
Chris

I would also be up for a meet, however the weekends in July are pretty rammed with shows etc.

Has anyone tried the new American Diner on the top of Haldon Hill (Exeter bound) as I see this has now re-opened and has a good sized car park? Perhaps a Sunday morning venue?

I went to the American diner before BHP show a few weeks back, the car park is an average size car park, good for a about 50+ cars and as for their food, I had their breakfast and I can say is was average. I'll probably be going back their soon and trying their other foods just to see if it's any good.
