Family restaurant recommendation nr Westonbirt Arboretum
Discussion
Hi all,
We're meeting the in-laws for sunday lunch next week and this is about the mid point, so I was after some good pub/restaurant recommendations in the area. The in-laws may bring their dog so somewhere kid and dog friendly would be ideal. Budget not critical but needs to be good!
Thanks in advance.

Gumstool/Calcot Manor is probably the best but a little pricy.
Hare and Hounds is the closest to Westonbirt (you could walk it but a 2 minute drive)
Personally I woudn't go to the Snooty Fox if you want to go to Tetbury. I've never been overly impressed with the food and they have no parking. The Priory offers better food and a car park.
Best of luck OP.

We ended up eating at the Rattlebone Inn. Good food in a very pretty little village and then went for a mooch around the Arboretum. Lovely part of the world and the inlaws now fancy moving that way (they moved back from France to North Devon a few years ago) as it's much closer to to the grandkids and the MIL will have far more options for working.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!
Sorry I missed this post. I live in the village and The Rattlebone is my local pub, glad you had a good experience.
We fell across village 12 years ago and love living in an " active" village. For any more info PM me as also local estate agent who might be able to help if they decide to want to move near in the future.

Just seen this, love Pistonheads !!! Went to Beaulieu at the weekend meet up with couple guys on way down from PH, awesome fun. We all agreed that everyone on PH has a genuine passion for all things petrol. Hello Graham - I didn't know you were on Pistonheads!

I have had the Westie for 2.5 years now and 12 track days. I can't recommend it enough. Driving on the road really is a waste of time with a performance car. They are now trying to get me to do my first track day, notice Westfield in your garage, new addition ?
So the Griff has gone… long live the GT3! I have a friend who used to have one. Great cars. Have yet to see it in the village though?
I saw an F40 drive thought the village a few weeks back.
