As promised, I have been researching in Gloucester; and let me tell you, it's been HARD work wink

The best one I have found (and I think its the best as it is so different & tasty!) is Aroma http://www.aroma-gloucester.co.uk/

So, when are you coming to visit? biggrin (I'm here M-W inclusive; can't do w/c 30th June or 7th July)

Alternatively, there is Tiger's Eye http://www.theoldbell-tigerseye.co.uk/ Whilst not curry, it IS worth a visit wink

How about the curry house in Thornbury? I think its the Mumtaz, I've not been but somehow seem to think that it's OK. Is there anywhere in Stroud or Dursley worth going to?

Thornbury Curry house was great the last time I went but it was a few years ago now. Up for a curry Gloucester way.

There's 2 in Dursley but haven't been to either in years!

Stroud, I like the Thai place by the station, but don't know about Injuns...

Nailsworth (just throwing it out there) both The Passage and t'other one are pretty good and The Village (pub) makes for a good meeting place with plenty of chewy beers.

The Passage used to be great. Not been there in years, used to be my fall-back watering hole whilst my village pub was closed.

Always thought that Dil Raj in Dursley did a good curry.

Been a year or two since I've gone there for a takeaway, but they've always been good in the past. May get an up to date sample over the bank holiday weekend, depending on how lazy I am about cooking!

Haven't actually eaten in since I previously lived in Alveston, about 20 years ago.

I've just had a shufti at the Aroma menu, and could be very tempted to join you if the dates work out.

Shouldn't we pick a date? I know we discussed it but I don't think we agreed a date or venue.
